EGBERT ANDREWS AUCTION MART founded in the year 1888 is a pioneer promoter of auction as a system of disposal in the country. Being India's oldest auction house, had the privilege to introduce the system of auction in SAIL-Plants & subsidiaries, Defense Units, Calcutta Port Trust, Border Road Projects in NE Region, Hindusthan Cables Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd., Official Liquidator Hon'ble High Court Calcutta, CLW, MSTC Ltd, IISCO, RMD, BALCO, MMTC and other major industries in public & private sector.

Our Story

Egbert Andrews Auction Mart is appointed auctioneer of Ministry of Defense. Serving all branches of Defence services (Ordnance, MES, Supply, Engineering Parks, Air Force & Navy) as auctioneer for over 74 years.

It is to the credit of Egbert Andrews Auction Mart to be the first auctioneers to introduce system of disposal by auction in All SAIL/ Plants and many Industries. EARLIER worked as Auctioneer for SAIL/Alloy Steels Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, SAIL/Raw Materials Division, IISCO & Mines under SAIL, E Rly, CLW, GKW, MMTC, Customs, Calcutta Port Trust, NHPC Faridabad, Ispat Industries Ltd, Nagpur, LIC etc. Have wide experience of handling various types of materials i.e. Defence Obsolete/Surplus/Salvage/Ferrous/Non-ferrous, Aircraft, Aero Scrap, Tanks, Radars, Vehicles/Heavy Earth Moving Equipment, Buildings/Camps, Rly Wagons, Bridges, Industrial Scrap/ Plants residue, Machines, Art effects, Period furniture, Jewellery etc. Occasionally handled disposal for LIC.

Special Surplus Stores Disposal Committee (SSSDC) a short time high powered committee formed under Ministry of Defence in 1993 allotted auctions all over the country to our firm.
